Happy International Women's Month!

Here it is another March celebrating Women's Month. Have you ever wondered what is Women's Month about? Have you taken some time to reflect on what exactly it is we are celebrating?

Google says, "Women’s Month is a celebration of the power, resilience, and contributions of women throughout history and in the present moment"

Although I agree with that, I believe that at its core, women's month is far more than recognizing achievements or highlighting progress. I think it is about honoring the sacred essence of womanhood—the creative force, the nurturer, the warrior, the healer, and the visionary. It is a chance, a valuable moment, to be reminded and to look beyond achievements and progress.

To remember the sacred essence of womanhood—the force of creation, the nurturer, the warrior, the healer, and the visionary.

It is a time to reflect on the depth of what it means to be a woman in a world that has often tried to silence, limit, or define femininity in ways that do not honor its full spectrum. It is about reclaiming the wholeness of women’s existence—their stories, wisdom, struggles, and triumphs.

At its core, Women’s Month is a celebration of:

1. The Inner Strength of Women

Women carry an immense capacity for endurance, growth, and transformation. From navigating personal struggles to leading communities through crisis, women embody resilience that is often quiet yet unshakable. This month honors the silent battles fought, the courage to heal, and the power to rise again and again.

2. The Wisdom of the Feminine

Beyond societal roles and expectations, women carry an innate wisdom—one that is intuitive, nurturing, and deeply connected to life itself. It is the wisdom of stillness, of listening, of knowing when to surrender and when to fight. Women’s Month recognizes the importance of honoring this wisdom in a world that often values force over flow.

3. The Right to Take Up Space

For centuries, women have been conditioned to shrink—to be smaller, softer, quieter. This month is about breaking those limitations and stepping fully into the space that belongs to them. It is about honoring women’s voices, ideas, and presence as necessary and vital to every sphere of life.

4. The Healing of Generations

Women’s Month is not just about individual empowerment; it is about collective healing. It is about breaking cycles of trauma, reclaiming lost narratives, and creating a future where women and girls do not have to fight the same battles over and over again. Healing is a revolutionary act, and every woman who chooses to heal herself is healing those who came before and those who will come after.

5. The Balance of Feminine and Masculine Energies

True celebration of womanhood is not about overpowering or diminishing the masculine but about restoring balance. The world thrives when both feminine and masculine energies work in harmony—when compassion meets strength, when intuition is valued alongside logic, and when creation is honored as much as conquest. Women’s Month is a call to restore this balance, not just in society but within each individual.

6. The Liberation of All Women

A true celebration of women means advocating for the rights and dignity of all women—across all backgrounds, cultures, and identities. It is about dismantling systems that oppress, challenge, and limit women’s freedom. This includes not just gender equality but also justice for marginalized women, safety from violence, and access to opportunities that allow them to thrive.

7. The Sacredness of Being

Above all, Women's Month is a reminder that being a woman is not something to prove loudly or justify by all means- it is something deeply sacred. It is a force of nature, a source of life, and a presence that shifts the world in unseen but profound ways.

In its deepest essence, Women's month is not just a time of celebration- it is a call to remember:

To remember the depth of what it means to be a woman.

To remember the generations of women who paved the way.

To remember the strength, wisdom, and beauty that already exists within.

And to stand in that remembrance with power, grace and love.

In most days, if not all days. Beyond March.

Celebrate what it means to be a woman.

I am.
